Hello, I’m

Caleb
Katz

Chemical Engineering and Sustainability student at the University of Rochester.

Pursuing industrial work to apply my chemical engineering experience. Capable of connecting tools from software, hardware, science, and engineering.

Portrait of Caleb Katz

Curious by nature.
Building with purpose.

Making complex ideas feel useful and approachable.

I’m a Chemical Engineer driven by curiosity and the challenge of solving complex problems that shape the future of energy. I’m especially interested in power generation, particularly nuclear fusion (a field that has inspired me since high school), as well as process engineering and its role in creating efficient, sustainable systems. I’m seeking industrial experience where I can apply what I’ve learned and continue building practical engineering skills.

That same problem-solving mindset shapes my work as a developer. I build scientific computing and data tools that turn technical ideas into clear, approachable experiences people can understand, explore, and use. Whether I’m working in code or collaborating with a team, I value thoughtful communication, careful iteration, and making difficult questions easier to investigate.

Projects built to answer real questions.

This collection will grow as new work is completed.
